OMG….Look what we stumbled upon! FINALLY there is a handy option for those who have to wear a CPAP machine (like nearly my entire family) and want to benefit from the amazing properties of essential oils that can help promote a restful sleep!
This isn’t “oil” related, but it is clean healthy eating, which is a path we took a few years ago. We took the sugar and carbs out of our diet. Sugar is shown to be the start of so many health issues, including cancer. We have plenty of cancer in our family and so we try to avoid sugar when all possible. We found this low carb cauliflower crust which gave us our pizza back! We love it! My favorite is Jalapeno. My husband’s is Italian or Red Pepper, and my daughter’s is Italian.
Copaiba and Frankincense in a veggie cap seems to be helping my husband post op! He had a very invasive shoulder surgery and was told to expect more pain than most people with similar surgeries and a long recovery. He began taking dōTERRA Copaiba and Frankincense in veggie caps immediately following surgery. He started taking his prescribed pain meds the second day and continued for two more days. He stopped the meds as he had little discomfort by the third day. This was not at all the expected outcome.
We put 2-3 drops of each dōTERRA Copaiba and Frankincense in a veggie cap. He took them approximately every 4 hours.
I can’t say for sure that these are the exact reason for his quick recovery, but sure seems coincidental when he was expected to be needing pain meds and additional pain blocks! Needless to say we are very pleased with his current condition! He has a long time going forward in a sling, therapy, and time off work, but at least he can do it with minimal discomfort! It sure makes it easier to concentrate on his physical therapy when he doesn’t have all his attention on major pain!
Although Copaiba does not contain psychoactive cannabinoids, the main component caryophyllene may be neuroprotective and have cardiovascular and immune benefits.* It’s also a powerful antioxidant that promotes immune health.*

This dish was definitely a hit with the family. I think next time I would cook the vegetables on the side, or just omit the peppers. The broccoli was great, but as much as we love peppers, it didn’t seem to go well in the mix. Plus, there ends up being so much juice from the chicken and ham that needs to be drained, so if adding vegetables, wait until you remove some of the juices from the meat.
So this Oopsie bread is supposed to be the greatest thing in the low carb world since sliced bread isn’t an option. Well, we decided to give it a try as my husband is a bread man. He gave up bread on a regular basis about a year ago, so he was interested in trying this “oopsie bread”.
Well, things were going good and they looked like the pictures I saw on the internet. We were having BLT’s wrapped in lettuce leaves for supper so we thought it would be a perfect time to try this new bread. NOT!!!
There is really no consistency to this bread and the taste was very odd. My husband is not a picky eater and never wants to waste anything, so he eats things even if he doesn’t care for it. Well this bread didn’t even meet high enough standards for him to eat! He said he would rather go without bread than choke these down.
I tried toasting them on our ever-favorite kitchen appliance, the Pizzaz, but that didn’t help the taste. I tried frying them in a bit of the bacon grease to add some flavor, still not pleasing in any way!
So, we gave this one a big thumbs down, never to try again. I did see some other recipes that had cream of tartar in that is supposed to help it rise and not flatten after baking, giving it more of a “bread feel”, so maybe it can be improved. To me, it sort of tasted like a cream puff, which is ok because it is smothered in whipping cream! Guess the journey to find a low carb, great tasting bread replacement will continue!
These were a hit! Great grab and go breakfast that you can keep in the fridge for several days. Just microwave for about 30 seconds and you’re good to go! They are surprisingly good cold too!
So many variations you can try. We liked onions, red and yellow peppers in our, but they do add some carbs to the nearly no carb goodness.
When I cook or bake, I rarely measure anything and often just throw things together, but I will try to at least get “close” on the ingredient list!
